    September 30, 2017

    7 p.m.

    Landmark Oriental Theater

    2230 N. Farwell Ave.

MULYP is excited to announce that we will be a community partner on the 2017 Black Lens Program's exclusive screening of the classic film "Love Jones!"

In this classic love story, Nina (Nia Long) is not looking for love when she meets Darius (Larenz Tate) at a poetry slam. Despite the scorching chemistry that instantly ignites, both insist the relationship is purely physical and certainly not a case of the love jones. A witty, sexy portrait of young Black love and romance (set in a middle-class, bohemian milieu that Hollywood still struggles to showcase 20 years on) that is a generational classic, this film will receive a rare 35mm screening at the historic Oriental Theatre!

To support the festival and this particular film with us, join MULYP for the 7 p.m. screening of "Love Jones" on Saturday September 30.  Discounted tickets to the film are ONLY $9 each when purchased through MULYP.

To reserve your ticket, email socialandcultural@tmulyp.org with your name, telephone number, and the number of tickets you would like to reserve NO LATER THAN Tuesday September 19.  Payment in CASH and ticket pick-up will be due at the MULYP General Body Meeting on Thursday September 21.
