Sean Lowe


Sean Lowe is an Investment Client Services Specialist at Northwestern Mutual where he has worked since 2004. He is FINRA Series 6, 63, 26 licensed.

He has been a member of MULYP since 2005 in various leadership positions. He is also the former National Urban League Young Professionals Central Region Outstanding Member of the Year.

Sean was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He has his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Email at sean.lowe@tmulyp.org

Lyah Holmes

Vice President 

Lyah Holmes is a science instructor and has been teaching at a local community college since 2007. She also is a nurse practitioner, offering primary care services in a Milwaukee area health care organization. In addition to MULYP, she also offers her talents to the Milwaukee community through other organizations.

She has been a member since 2014. She has a passion to serve and as social and economic inequality continues, she believes community engagement is imperative. She enjoys the opportunity MULYP offers to share in her passion for community involvement with other young professionals.

Kisha Cannon


Kisha Cannon currently works on a board of professionals with the federal government.  She has a background as a tutor for adult learners. She also volunteers as a youth leader with her churches’ youth ministry.

She is multi-year member of YP and has helped plan many successful events such as our Dating Game Scholarship Fundraiser.

Lauren Feaster


Lauren Feaster serves as the Managing Director of Development with Teach For America Milwaukee, a national non-profit that works to enlist, develop, and mobilize our nation's most promising future leaders to grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity. Prior to joining Teach for America, Lauren served in various capacities with City Year Milwaukee-entering the organization as a corps member in 2010 (Milwaukee's founding year), and transitioning as the outgoing Chief of Staff in 2015. Lauren is an alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her bachelors of science in Spanish with Pre-Med intent.

In addition to serving in a variety of leadership capacities within the Multicultural Learning Community and P.E.O.P.L.E program at UW Madison, Lauren was an active member of the UW Marching Band Drumline, the senior advisory council of the Associated Students of Madison, and the IMPACT movement. Lauren, a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., remains engaged in community service through her work on City Year's Alumni Board, involvement with Beyond the Bell, DJing local events, and providing additional advising and mentoring to women and girls of color across Milwaukee.  Email at lauren.feaster@tmulyp.org

Immediate Past President 

Immediate Past President role is to advise and assist the executive board as the immediate past president. Remains active in committee work as designated by the President in the planning and implementation activities of the Executive Board, and may provide consultation in the areas of organizational structure. Community Service Committee Through community outreach interaction programs, our members can actively serve their community. This integral committee works hard to not only provide opportunities, but also works with existing community service organizations to help enhance our community as a whole while providing an outlet for young professionals in the Milwaukee area an opportunity to give back to their community. The committee is involved in many areas of service, such as programs that help improve the well-beng of children & families, education and literacy, and various cause focused run/walks. Fundraising Committee oversees the raising of money for MULYP projects and scholarships though corporate development, grants, social activities, auctions, holiday events, black tie events, and so forth. Health & Wellness Committee is responsible for the health and well-being of our members, as well as the community. Membership Committee organizes all efforts to attract, retain members, facilitate new member orientation, working to secure Corporate Sponsor/Partnerships. Works tandem with Social & Cultural Committee to host networking mixers. Plans membership recruitment events to attract the young professional demographic. Alex Menefee

Personal & Professional Development Co-Chair 

Personal & Professional Development Committee determines the professional development needs of membership, identifies new initiatives to cultivate members. The primary objective is to design and support professional development activities for members to fulfill their personal, and professional needs and goals. Policy and Politics Chair

Policy & Politics Committee Plans various events (i.e. candidate forums and voter registration drives) using various platforms, which help to ensure that the community at large is informed and educated on issues that affect their lives and communities. As part of the national agenda, the Politics and Policy committee also works to engage its constituents in the political process and encourage them to affect change for better communities. Jackie Oraedu

Public Relations Chair 

Public Relations Committee Manages all communications and social media applications. Promotes the events and activities of the group. Conducts regular e-mail updates, and media relations. Goals are getting information out to the public about community events, and projects the young professionals work on; promoting the image of the young professionals. Social & Cultural Chair

Social & Cultural Committee Plans social and cultural-awareness events for the MULYP. Increases the camaraderie of MULYP membership. Goals are to seek out opportunities for members to socialize and be exposed to their cultural heritage. Web Chair 

Web Committee is responsible for administering the Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals website. Creates and manages the information content of the site. Designs, develops, and maintains website in its entirety and monitor traffic to website. Email at webmaster@tmulyp.org
